StartIsBack 1.0 for Windows 8.1 was officially released earlier today, bringing several new options specifically aimed at Microsoft’s upcoming OS update.
The app finally takes over the built-in Windows 8.1 Start button and provides users with a much more familiar Start Menu, while also comprising a bunch of options supposed to make the operating system a bit more friendly.
For example, the app lets users configure the look and feel of the Start Menu by choosing from several themes, while also offering options to show the Taskbar on the Start screen and thus jump to a running desktop app with just one click.
There are lots of other settings included in the app, so make sure you give it a try if you really want to make Windows 8.1 look like the old and friendly Windows 7.
